La Ch'uupalo; The Conqueror

In this young adult fantasy adventure novel, a teenage girl sets out to save her tribe and sister-tribes, herself, the women and girls, and essentially the whole world. She defies her grandfather in the beginning, gets her sister and herself into great trouble, yet eventually saves many lives and earns the respect of the warriors, everyone, and most important her grandfather. In the end, there is a battle, and she meets a new beau.

The theme of the book is tolerance. The young heroine exudes strength, morals, and love of family. Her new beau is also strong, but she takes the lead. If a Knight in Shining Armor comes along, great, if not, girls must be able to protect themselves and each other.

Black, Red, Yellow and White Lies Matter Too

This fascinating family history is a unique collection of Marie Machado’s research notes on the lives of her many famous ancestors, collected over 15 years of genealogical and DNA studies…but with a twist. Marie’s great-grandmother was said to be the first indigenous woman to marry a colonist. Her mother's grandfather is rumored to have been a duke who lost everything. Other ancestors were King James, the Medicis, Plantagenets, and more. Her mitochondrial DNA matches Mary Magdalene and Mumia Juanita of Peru, and her father’s mother’s mitochondrial DNA matches Egyptian mummies. Other ancestors are Native Americans from several tribes, and from various Asian countries. Her family literally has the blood of the world running through their veins.

Since the world has been telling their stories for centuries, she wants to tell it too, her way, using extensive family tree research, documents, ships manifests, DNA, and genetic and chromosome mapping.

Indigenous, Hispanic, Portuguese, Italian, And Random Poetry Anthology

This book is a collection of Indigenous American (First Nations of Canada, South American and Caribbean, and Native American, etc.) poetry from a Native lens. Some of the poetry is about the Spanish, Portuguese and Italians, but not limited to these topics of interest. Quite a bit of this poetry is also about God and love. The main goal is to make Natives visible to the American mainstream society but also the world. It aims to highlight the plight of Native Americans yesterday and today.

Moving Beyond The Narrative

This book is an in- depth review of American slavery that consisted of all races. The propaganda we were taught in schools has caused a great divide in America (world). People have believed these false narratives for too long, and it is our responsibility to teach the children the truth. DNA and documentation has debunked falsities and we have misinterpreted at least a portion of history, if not all. Almost all the colonizers and conquistadors were just a little piece of a very big black history puzzle. We now have the missing pieces to the puzzle: Much of the Spanish and Portuguese Sephardic Diaspora, was confused for the slave trade. Many colonized the American Indians and more.

Black, Red, Yellow and White Lies Still Matter: To Fix The House My Great Grandfathers and Grandmothers Built

Startling, straightforward, and sometimes disturbing truth that dispels the false narratives we have been taught to believe for generations and that continue to be taught to our children and grandchildren.

This is what author Marie Arruda-Machado Medici reveals in this compelling genealogical study.

When Marie embarked on researching her ancestry 20 years ago, she was aware of her proud Native American heritage. However, she was shocked to discover that she is also a descendant of several well-known historical figures, such as

Mary Magdalene
Shakespeare
Columbus
Marie's further research revealed that much of the information contained in history books and taught in our schools about these historical figures is false. Her research also unearthed the frightening reality that some of her ancestors were not only victimized, but also oppressors of their own people. Not only that, they had contributed to the false narratives passed down to this day.

Black, Red, Yellow, and White Lies Still Matter is Marie's determination to set the record straight, not only for her family line but also for us all, as her story, her history, is also collectively our story, our history.
